All you need to know about Air Cooler

Nothing brings more joy on a hot day than sitting in an air-cooled room, however, this cooling comfort comes at a price, especially when you resort to air conditioners to stay cool. This is where air coolers come to the rescue as they are far more energy-efficient, cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and provide healthy air in comparison to air conditioners.

What is an air cooler?

Air coolers have been around for a long time and are widely used in the hottest parts of the world. They are mainly used to provide relief from hot weather. Air coolers are small, typically stylish, and discreet units that are designed to get rid of the heat from your house.

They are not to be confused with an air conditioner, which is an appliance that removes humidity as well as heat from the outside air.

How does an air cooler work?

Air coolers work according to the principle of evaporative cooling. They function by drawing in hot air from the outside, blowing it over a wet pad, and then blowing the cool air out of the system into your room. This process helps to reduce the temperature of the room by about 2 degrees Celsius.

A typical air cooler is made up of an outside unit, an inside unit, air vents, control panel, drainage system, and circuit breakers. Depending on the type of air cooler, other components may be added.

Benefits of using an air cooler

You should invest in an air cooler at home or in their office because they provide many benefits. Some of the benefits include:

§  Energy efficiency: They use less power than other cooling devices which translates to lower electricity bills.

§  Environmentally friendly: Air coolers are more environmentally friendly as they do not release harmful gases into the atmosphere and produce cleaner indoor air relative to other cooling appliances like air conditioners or fans that circulate hot air around the room. They are also great for those who have allergies or asthma because they do not change the indoor humidity levels.

§  No installation needed and easy to maintain: You do not need any external space to install an air cooler and they take less than 20 minutes to set up. You can have it running within minutes after opening the box! Just plug it into a power source and switch it on to start cooling the room. They are also easy to maintain than other cooling devices.

§  Durable: Air coolers are more durable as they do not have all those moving parts that usually break down with time or usage.

§  Quiet operation: They also do not make a lot of noise, even in the highest setting. This makes them perfect for use during nighttime as well.

Types of air coolers

There are four popular types of air coolers available in the market today. These air coolers can be used in large spaces such as offices, hotels, and hospitals as well as smaller spaces such as bedrooms or small offices. They are:

§  Window air coolers: They are typically installed on windows, but some models can also be installed on walls or ceilings. The main selling point of these devices is that they do not take up any floor space which makes them perfect for apartments and small homes with limited space for mechanical equipment like in basements or pantries.

§  Tower air coolers: Tower air coolers are the most popular type of air conditioner. They are more effective at cooling, and they can cool a large space in an even manner. They have a tower shape which makes them easy to place in your living room or bedroom. They come with many features like a timer, LCD, shut off switch, and more

§  Desert air coolers: A desert air cooler is an appliance that provides cooling for a room or house with low humidity. As the name suggests, this type of appliance is designed specifically for people living in hot desert climates. They work by pulling in the dry, hot outside air and blowing it over cold water. This creates cold droplets of water which are then blown into your home or office. Desert air coolers can also be used for things like hoses and sprinklers since they do not use any electricity or require any power to operate.

§  Personal air coolers: Personal air coolers are a great way to combat the high temperatures in your home or office. They are small devices that can be placed wherever you are sitting or standing to cool the air around you and keep you feeling comfortable. They are often called mini air coolers.

Things to consider before choosing an air cooler

Before choosing an air cooler, you should consider some of the important aspects such as:
